Saturn Stations Direct December 10, 2026: The Dates, the Degrees and What Comes Next

Saturn turns direct at 7°56' Aries on Dec 10, 2026. Here's the full arc: the retrograde zone, the last passes and when it leaves its shadow.

Saturn stations direct on December 10, 2026, at 6:31pm ET, at 7°56' Aries. It has been retrograde since the summer, when it stopped at 14°45' Aries and began backing up. From December 10 it moves forward again, but it isn't finished with this stretch of the zodiac until March 15, 2027, when it gets back to 14°45' and leaves its shadow.

So if you're asking "is Saturn done with me in December?", the honest answer is: it's turning around, not leaving. Here's the whole arc, and how to work out which part of it is yours.

The arc, dated

  • This summer: Saturn stations retrograde at 14°45' Aries.
  • Through autumn: it backs down through the low teens of Aries. It crosses 11° Aries on October 8, for example.
  • December 10: Saturn stations direct at 7°56' Aries. In the weeks around a station, a planet barely moves, so anything near 8° of the cardinal signs gets a long, slow contact.
  • December 10 to March 15, 2027: the post-retrograde shadow. Saturn walks forward over the same degrees again: 11° Aries on February 8, 13° Aries on February 28.
  • March 15, 2027: Saturn reaches 14°45' Aries and leaves the shadow.
  • The rest of 2027: Saturn moves on to 27°53' Aries, stations retrograde there on August 9, backs up to 21°01', and turns direct again on December 23, 2027. That's the next loop, over the late twenties of Aries.

Who feels this one

The three-pass zone is roughly 8° to 15° of the cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Saturn conjoins natal points in that range of Aries, squares them in Cancer and Capricorn, and opposes them in Libra. Every degree in the zone gets crossed three times: once going forward earlier in 2026, once backward during the retrograde, and once more in the shadow.

If you're not sure whether that's you, this is the same three-pass shape that turns a "short" transit into a months-long one. We walk through it in more detail in how long an astrological transit period really lasts.

Three examples

These are general examples, not readings of anyone's chart.

Natal Saturn at 13° Aries

This is a Saturn return. Saturn crossed 13° Aries twice in 2026, once on the way forward and once retrograde, and the third and final pass lands on February 28, 2027. A return tends to ask what you've built so far, and what you'd keep if you were starting again. The December station, about five degrees away, can be a pause before that last pass rather than an ending. If your natal Saturn sits anywhere in early-to-mid Aries, it's worth finding your exact degree and dates.

Natal Mars at 11° Capricorn

Saturn squares this Mars three times: once earlier in 2026, again on October 8, 2026 during the retrograde, and a last time on February 8, 2027. A Saturn square to Mars can read as a long conversation between drive and limits. What's worth pushing on, and where would patience do more? With three passes, there's time between rounds to notice what changed.

4th house in Aries

For someone whose 4th house is in Aries, Saturn spends this whole loop in the part of the chart linked with home, family and roots. The station on December 10 sits in the middle of that house's story, not at the end of it. A useful question here: what at home feels like it needs a firmer structure, and what could be let go?

What the station asks

Stations are often described as the most noticeable moments of a transit, because the planet lingers. A few open questions for the weeks around December 10:

  • What did the last few months of review show you that you'd missed in spring?
  • If you have a planet in the three-pass zone, which pass are you on: second or third?
  • What would "done" look like by March 15, when Saturn clears the shadow?

None of this says what will happen. It's the shape of the transit, and knowing the shape helps: it gives you a beginning, a middle and an end date to plan around. Mars runs the same pattern on a faster clock; here's the full Mars retrograde 2027 timeline if you want to compare. Jupiter turns the other way two days later; here's Jupiter's retrograde through Leo, dated.
